Unlocking JustCMS: How to Create Your First Project

Ready to take the plunge into JustCMS? Let’s explore how to easily establish your first project and set the stage for your content creation.

Let’s set up your OpenAI key and create your first project in JustCMS.

First, while we are on the main page, let’s go to the profile page and set up your OpenAI key so you can use any AI features you want. They are all free and unlimited—you pay only directly to OpenAI for actual API usage.

To start, you need an OpenAI account. If you already have one, just open https://platform.openai.com/, navigate to “API keys” in the left sidebar, and create a new key. Copy the key to your clipboard and paste it into the JustCMS form on your profile page.

The key is not stored on our servers. We encrypt it using a secret key and store it in your browser. This ensures the process is 100% secure. Neither your browser nor our server holds the plain key. It is only decrypted when you use AI features and is encrypted again immediately after.

Let’s now create your first project

Creating a project is simple and straightforward. All you need to do is click the “Create a new project” button.

In the new modal, type the project name—let’s call it our “Demo” project. The next two fields are especially important if you plan to use many AI features to speed up content creation.

The first field is “Image Style Instructions for AI.” This allows you to define the styling for all images that will be generated by JustCMS.

Here, I would suggest adding the following styling: “A vibrant and colorful cartoon-style illustration with bold outlines, smooth shading, and a playful, cheerful aesthetic. Use a variety of bright, saturated colors to make the scene visually engaging and lively. Incorporate expressive characters and dynamic compositions, ensuring the style is friendly and appealing.”

The second field defines the styling for all writing generated by JustCMS. This is where you can set the tone, style, and other preferences for your project’s writing.

For example, you could add: “Write in clear, simple, and natural language that is easy to understand for non-native speakers. Use short sentences, familiar vocabulary, and a conversational tone. Avoid complex structures, jargon, and idioms that might confuse readers. Ensure the text is engaging, well-organized, and polished while maintaining a friendly and approachable voice.”
